How much does advertising in a Telegram channel cost on Relay?
Each channel owner sets a price per start time for a 24-hour post, starting at 1 GRAM. A 4-hour pin and a 1-hour or 3-hour last-post add-on have their own prices when the owner offers them. You see the full price in the catalogue before you book, and there is no markup for advertisers: the 20% platform fee comes out of the owner's side.
Can I advertise on Telegram for free?
Relay posts are paid at the owner's price. Listing your channel, group, or bot in the Telegram Channels directory is free and brings visitors from search every day. What is the difference between Relay and Telegram Ads?
Telegram Ads is Telegram's own platform: short sponsored messages bought per thousand views in a CPM auction and targeted by topic, language, or channel list. Relay is a marketplace for sponsored posts: you choose one channel, your full post with text, media, and links goes into its feed for 24 hours, and you pay the owner's fixed price. Many advertisers use both.
Why is payment in GRAM?
GRAM is a token on the TON network. Deposits and withdrawals are direct wallet transfers with no card processor in between, so they work wherever Telegram works. You deposit by sending GRAM with your personal memo and withdraw from 1 GRAM to any TON wallet. Relay balance is separate from your site account balance.
What happens if the channel owner declines or does not answer?
The owner has 24 hours to accept, or until the booked start time if that comes first. If they decline or the time passes, the full hold is credited back to your Relay balance.
What if my post is deleted or edited early?
The bot checks the post during the 24-hour window. If it is removed or edited, or a newer message is posted during a purchased last-post window, you are refunded inside Relay and the owner does not earn for that campaign.
How do I sell ads on my Telegram channel?
Your channel must be listed on Telegram Channels, verified, and have more than 1,000 subscribers. Add @tcRelayBot as an admin with Post Messages, Edit Messages of Others, and Delete Messages, then set one or two daily start times with prices. Requests arrive in Relay and nothing is posted until you accept.
When do channel owners get paid?
Your 80% share is credited to your Relay balance 3 days after the 24-hour post ends, once the campaign completed under the Relay terms. You can withdraw from 1 GRAM to your TON wallet.
What kind of ads are allowed?
Each owner states whether adult, betting, and crypto ads are accepted, and can decline any request. Illegal content, malware, phishing, and fraud are banned everywhere. Every published ad carries an #ad tag.
Do I need to negotiate with channel owners?
No. Prices and start times are listed. You write the post, pick a day and a start time, and send the request. The owner only accepts or declines.
